Rieslingfeier: the main event
Rouge Tomate
10 East 60th Street, off of Fifth Avenue
Reception begins at 7:00pm
Join all of the Rieslingfeier winemakers, German wine critic David Schildknecht, New York’s own
Riesling overlord Paul Grieco and the nation’s most prominent sommeliers, including Rouge Tomate’s
Pascaline Lepeltier, Le Bernardin’s Aldo Sohm and Daniel’s Raj Vaidya for the
grandest
“BYOB” German wine dinner to ever come to New York. With the winemakers bringing
rare, back-vintage bottlings (many of them large format) direct from their own cellars,
we shall be expected to reciprocate as generously as possible from our own cellars.
This will be an unforgettable evening.

Riesling seminar: diversity in the Mosel and Saar
Private dining room, Bar Boulud

Tasting begins at 11:30 sharp!
Join The Wine Advocate’s German critic/scholar David Schildknecht, along with a panel of
growers including Andreas Adam, Thomas Haag (Schloss Lieser), Florian Lauer and
Dorothee Zilliken for a tasting and panel discussion that will highlight the stylistic diversity
of Mosel and Saar Riesling. This tasting will utilize a pair of wines from each grower originating
in the same or nearby site. David Schildknecht will lead a discussion covering the diversity
of expression in the context of the vintner's aesthetic, site potential, commercial
demand and adaptability to cuisine and lifestyle.
